ABOUT LAURA HOLDER DESIGN

Hi there! It's always weird introducing yourself through a website, but here I am! I'm "the" Laura Holder of Laura Holder Design, and I'm glad you're here.

For as long as I have been able to hold things in my hands, I've been a creator. Whether using charcoal, oil paints or a computer mouse, I have always found great joy in using my imagination to compose unique pieces of art.

I graduated from the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design (MIAD) in 2003 with a degree in Industrial Design. Upon graduating, I worked in the corporate setting for 16 years working on projects for clients such as Amazon, LeapFrog Microsoft, Lowes, and many other brands.

Laura Holder Design, About Laura

I made the decision to wean out of the corporate grind in 2016 so I could focus on my dreams of entrepreneurship and have never looked back. The corporate office environment enabled me to have first-hand experience of how brand image and marketing integrity are crucial for a company's success.

I currently reside in Wisconsin with my husband and our beloved pooches, Ernie & Betty White. Outside of designing, I lead the team at Conservation Dogs Collective, a non-profit that trains and deploys Canine Finder-Keeper teams to detect invasive, endangered, and elusive species. I'm truly a snerd (scent work nerd) and as such, carry various certifications to allow me to do my best alongside dogs. Included in my dog-centric training I'm a Certified Professional Dog Trainer - Knowledge Assessed through the CCPDT, a Certified Nose Work Instructor through the NACSW, the owner of Connecting with Dogs, and a  co-founder of the Force Free Trainers of Wisconsin.

Yah, I'm a busy gal, but I love what I do and cannot picture my life a different way. Designing and dogs.

What could be better?!
